Preparing for Uganda

So I've got about a month until I leave and the Lord is so good in affirming and encouraging me. I have a lot of people who have voiced they are going to donate for my garage sale to raise funds for Africa! The garage sale will be Feb. 22 & 23rd and I'm praying the Lord will bring in the rest of the money I need through that. He is faithful and I know He will provide, if not through the garage sale, then some other way. He's also providing through other people pitching in their own money to help me out, which totally blows me away and was not expected at all. Praise you Father!!!!

I got lots of shots and am stocking up on medicine for while I'm there in case I get sick. I've bought my ticket which tells me I'm leaving March 12th (my 3 year anniversary) and returning June 4th. I'm getting so excited and cannot wait to meet the women I'll be doing life with for the 3 months I'll be there!!!!!

That's awesome Rach. I'm glad God is providing for your trip, and I can't wait to hear about your time in Africa. I'll pray that everything falls into place. I know it will.

Love you so much.

I leave two weeks from tomorrow!!! Can you believe it???

Hello, Rachel!

This is your dad. Your very, very proud dad. I am so amazed by the longings that God has put in yours and Stephen's hearts. How kind of him to let you realize at least some of your dreams about Africa at such an early age. I have loved your pictures and your stories. It wouldn't surprise me a bit if you came home with a full house of African children. Hey---it means you can skip all those uncomfortable pregnancies and all those excruciating labor pains! Stay safe and keeping loving!
Your adoring dad.

Hey, Ra!

Here are a few Scriptures that I thought would be of some encouragement to you today.

Proverbs 19:17
Isaiah 58:1-12
Jeremiah 22:16
Matthew 25:31-46

Love,

Dad
